I have been recently experimenting with Adobe Inetgrated Runtime, (AIR) and AI for some interactive art pieces. I’ve been experimenting more with emergence theory in mind when creating online interactive art pieces. Maybe the most complex systems are based upon simple interactions.

I have been using Macromedia’s Flash and cell phone signals to create interactive art. Recently I’ve been asked to create 18 x 24 glicee prints of my work for the new Helio Stores that will be opening. Here’s some information from Sugarluxe.
LOS ANGELES, CA – November 21, 2006 – HELIO, LLC announced that the company’s flagship Helio Store on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA, is now open. The first of five announced Helio Stores to open by early 2007, the over 4000 square foot sleek and modern spaceis designed to create an entirely new retail experience - which extends to the NEW ART on the walls! Helio Stores are built to revolve around Helio members and prospective members, giving young people that are passionate about style, staying in touch with friends and technology a place to fully experience Helio while they shop, browse or just hang out.
“Helio stores are spectacularly designed places that are unlike anything else in the wireless market,” said Sky Dayton, CEO of HELIO LLC. “We’ve gone above and beyond to truly embody the Helio spirit of design and staying connected with friends. Now people have a place to experience Helio first hand while they shop for new exclusive devices or test our cool services like Buddy Beacon. Helio’s new retail stores feature original artwork curated by genuis entrepreneur, John Doffing, founder of START SOMA + START MOBILE galleries has enabled customers to download digital versions of the art as wallpaper for their Helio device or purchase the originals directly from the stores.

We have seen this ratio in mathematics and art through the ages. I am experimenting with creating actionscript artwork using this ratio for dynamically creating visual composition.
